On Monday night, a 26-year-old man’s body was found in an outdoor area in the community of Pelican Narrows.

What RCMP officers found when they arrived at that scene has led them to believe the man’s death is suspicious. The discovery was made late on Monday, at around 11:20 p.m.

Sgt. Craig Cleary, spokesman for the RCMP F Division, says police won’t release the name of the victim unless a charge is laid, nor will they let media know if the family’s been notified.

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday in Saskatoon.

RCMP Major Crimes and its Historical Cases north and south units have been involved, along with Prince Albert and Tisdale Forensic Identification Sections, and Saskatoon RCMP Police Dog Services.
