A coroner’s inquest will be held next month into the death of a woman who fell from a fifth-floor window in Regina.
31-year-old Nicole Lafontaine was staying at the YWCA in the city on July 22, 2023.
Early that morning, authorities received a report that Lafontaine had fallen out of a fifth-floor window.
She would be taken to hospital, but later died of her injuries.
The inquest into her death will determine how she died and a jury will have an opportunity to make recommendations to prevent similar deaths in the future.
The inquest will run August 19-23 at the Royal Hotel in Regina.
