Repair crews from SaskPower have been kept busy with repairs today following Sunday's severe thunderstorms which caused damage in many areas in the province's north.

There were multiple reports of downed trees taking down power lines.

Power was out in the La Ronge area on Sunday for about six hours and some communities north of La Ronge were still without power this morning.

Outages were reported in the Meadow Lake area, the far north and further east in Deschambault Lake.

There were also numerous reports of high winds, lightning and downed trees causing damage to buildings and vehicles.
