A man considered armed and dangerous is the subject of a police manhunt after the murder of a 17-year-old boy in Meadow Lake.

The teen was shot in a home on the city’s west side late Monday morning. He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The suspect in the shooting has a slim build. He is about 5’8” tall, just over 100 pounds and was last seen wearing a grey Burton hat, glasses, a red hoodie with black writing on it and black Adidas pants.

The public is being advised not to approach the man, but rather call police with any information.

Meadow Lake RCMP and the RCMP Major Crime Unit North continue their investigation.
