Our Format

MBC, Saskatchewan's Aboriginal Radio Voice, plays a wide variety of music for our vast listening audience. Our music entertains a wide range of individuals with a mix of aboriginal, new country, traditional country, rock & roll, popular top 40 and dance/EDM music.  This truly is a format you will not hear from any other radio station--ANYWHERE.

MBC is an all format radio station -- playing the songs of today and yesterday each and every day, seven days a week.

Monday's at 6 pm, MBC is proud to present the Saskatchewan Aboriginal Countdown. Listen for today's most popular songs by Saskatchewan Aboriginal artists. This program repeats Sunday evenings at 11:00 p.m.

For the youth, the MBC Haul Home plays a blend of upbeat country, rock, pop and top 40 weekdays 4 til 6 pm. Also, in support of the Missinipi Youth Foundation (MYF), MBC offers its House Party Friday night (or technically early Saturday morning) from Midnight til 4:00 am with a variety of Dance, EDM, Hip-Hop and "HARD as a Rock" tunes.

Aboriginal Music is played every day at anytime on Saskatchewan's Aboriginal Radio Network. Past and present Aboriginal tunes are a very popular and essential component of MBC's programming. Our Aboriginal music includes new country, traditional, fiddle, rock/pop and hip hop categories. MBC is "First For First Peoples Music!"

Each Thursday at 6 pm, the five chart topping Canadian country music hits are served up with Riley Novakoski.  Each Friday afternoon, MBC also features the high 5 at 5; the latest & best in rock music.

Friday evening beginning at 10pm, MBC's James Young hosts Missinipi Friday Night. This 2 hour program is devoted to upbeat country with a mix of rock/pop favorties to kick start your weekend.

Saturday mornings 6:00 til 10:00 a.m listen for the Old Time Country Music Morning as the clock is turned back to yesteryear.

The 70's, 80's & 90's (and now even some early 2000's stuff) get the spotlight on "WayBack Wednesday" each Wednesday from 6 pm thru 7 p.m.

Aboriginal and classic gospel favourites and programming devoted to please our Elders are the focus each Sunday morning with Cree Language hosts Abel Charles & Charly Durocher.  The Sunday morning Elder's program airs every Sunday between 9:00 n' 11:00 a.m.
