The community of Ile a la Crosse will be receiving funds from the provincial govenment for a unique multi-use-facility that will house a new high school as well as provide health services.

The province announced an investment of 300 thousand dollars into the facility as part of their “Action Plan for Saskatchewan Health Care”.

Ile a la Crosse School Chair Louis Gardiner has applauded the Department of health and the Health region for joining forces on this project.

Gardiner says if all goes as planned work should start on the first on January.

Gardiner says this facility will help to push the economy forward at the same time as creating new jobs.

Health minister John Nilson says this new shared facility provides a clear example of the governments commitment to healthy and vibrant communities.
