A First Nations business specialist says entrepreneurs wishing to start up businesses in the North must think ahead before taking the plunge.
Kelly Fiddler of the Saskatchewan Indian Equity Foundation addressed delegates at an economic development conference in Prince Albert yesterday.
Fiddler says development projects involving natural resources are booming these days, but not everyone can cash in — no matter how easy it looks.
He says product knowledge and having a good sense of what you intend to do are key.
Fiddler advises entrepreneurs to call a business specialist before they sink their money into their idea.
