Accused In Attempted Murder Appears In Court

A 37-year-old man accused of attempted murder on the Sturgeon Lake reserve appeared in court in Prince Albert today.

Rick Harold Ermine sat quietly as lawyers for the Crown and defence discussed his case.

He was charged after RCMP responded to a call of a disturbance on the First Nation Saturday morning.

It was there they discovered a 28-year-old female suffering from head injuries.

She was later taken to hospital, where she remains in serious condition.

The judge has adjourned the case until tomorrow.
