Ahtahkakoop Man Facing Impaired Driving Charge

The RCMP in Shellbrook have charged a 34-year-old man with the impaired driving death of a member of the Ahtahkakoop First Nation.

50-year-old Dennis Masuskapoe died last week after the vehicle he was travelling in was struck by another vehicle.

The accident took place Friday afternoon on a grid road on the reserve.

The Mounties have now charged Faron Starblanket with impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death.

Starblanket, who also hails from Ahtahkakoop, will be in court later this week.
