Big Island Lake Manslaughter Case Headed To Trial

A woman accused of killing a 22-year-old man on the Big Island Lake Cree Nation will head to trial in October.

 

Edwin Dufraine was found bleeding from stab wounds in a home on the reserve in late November of 2006.

 

Emergency crews rushed him to hospital, but he died on the way.

 

22 year-old Lynette Sandfly faces one count of manslaughter.

 

Her trial begins on October 20th in North Battleford.
