Body of Missing Man Found Near Montreal Lake

A 54-year-old man from Humboldt that went missing last week was found on the weekend near the community of Montreal Lake.

Donald Winkler had last been seen last Tuesday in Prince Albert.

The RCMP says his vehicle was discovered north of Montreal Lake on Saturday.

A ground search involving the RCMP’s dog section began shortly after that discovery, and Winkler’s body was eventually found several hundred yards away from his vehicle.

An autopsy has been ordered, but the Mounties say foul play has been ruled out.
