Boil Water Advisory Lifted in Meadow Lake

Residents of Meadow Lake and the nearby Flying Dust First Nation no longer need to boil their water.

Saskatchewan Environment has lifted a precautionary boil water advisory that has been in place in the two communities since late March.

The boil water advisory was ordered after local officials noticed the water treatment plant wasn’t functioning properly.

It was briefly lifted a couple of weeks ago, only to be reinstated the next day after officials encountered more problems at the treatment plant.

No one was made sick and Environment personnel say they haven’t detected any bacteria in the water.
