Cameco Fills Key Position With Beauval Native

Cameco has hired a northerner for the position of senior specialist in northern business development.

Last week, Beauval product Darrell Burnouf took over the job, which had been vacant for months.

Previously, the position was not held by someone from northern Saskatchewan.

Cameco spokesman Gord Struthers says the company is always trying to hire northerners.

Struthers says Burnoff will match any opportunities that arise from expanding uranium mining with northern companies.

Burnouf began working last week, and is stationed at Cameco’s corporate office in Saskatoon.
