A Cameco spokesman says the company will not be rethinking how it conducts uranium mining in Saskatchewan because of a study last month into levels of uranium found in urine.
The study was conducted on residents of Port Hope, Ontario, where Cameco owns a uranium processing facility.
Gord Struthers says the amount of uranium found was normal.
Struthers says, if anything, the study illustrates that Cameco’s health monitoring practices work well.
