Canoe Narrows Man Charged In Fatal Crash

A 41-year-old man from Canoe Narrows is facing charges following a fatal accident this past weekend.

The unidentified man was driving the vehicle that lost control and crashed on Highway 55 near Peerless Sunday morning.

The accident claimed the life of 34-year-old Verna Iron, who was a passenger in the vehicle.

Three other people were hurt in the crash, including two boys under the age of 12.

The accused faces charges of impaired driving causing death and impaired driving causing bodily harm.

He will appear in a Meadow Lake court tomorrow.
