Chair Chosen For First Nations Management Board

A B.C. band member is singing the praises of a government-sponsored financial management body.

Harry Calla of the Squamish First Nation was recently named as the chairman of the First Nations Financial Management Board.

Calla says the board will help bands improve their own financial management practices while expanding opportunities.

Calla says 26 bands from across the country have already registered through the board, but none of them are from Saskatchewan.

He is hoping to change that with visits to the province next year.
