A spokesman for Environment Canada says it will stay cold in Northern Saskatchewan for at least the next week.
Dan Kulak notes the usual day-time high for La Ronge at this time of year is -14.
He says most of central and northern Saskatchewan will be struggling to get above -20 for the next five days.
He adds parts of the far north are locked in an arctic air mass.
Their day time highs will be deep into the -20’s for much of this week.
