Court Hearing Begins For Former FNUC V-P

The preliminary hearing of a former administrator with the First Nations University of Canada begins today in Regina.
Last year, former vice-president Wes Stevenson was charged with defrauding the institution of more than $5,000.
Stevenson was fired in 2005, when several other senior officials were fired or left the institution due to what they called political interference.
Stevenson has since been an outspoken critic of FNUC, even after being charged.
He maintains he is innocent and has said he looks forward to his day in court.
The hearing is expected to run all week.
