A group of students from Cumberland House will be featured in an upcoming documentary by two Saskatoon documentary filmmakers.
Angela Edmunds and Marcel Petit are working on “The Pisim Project” — a film about some Grade 10 students from Cumberland House who are building an energy-efficient log house.
Petit says what these kids are doing is a big deal and an important story to tell — because he believes it might empower others to take action against bad environmental practices in their own lives.
Rayne Bo Favel is one of the students working on the home.
She says being filmed has been a neat experience.
The film is set to be released in fall of 2009.
