Four northern Saskatchewan men face a total of $30,000 in fines as result of numerous wildlife violations related to illegal waterfowl hunting activity.
Gary Carriere, Claude Dussion, Delvin Laliberte and Cory McKenzie were convicted of 56 violations of federal and provincial wildlife regulations for offences committed in 2002 and 2003 near Cumberland House.
Carriere ran an outfitting camp in that area, and the other three men served as guides.
Saskatchewan Environment launched the investigation after hearing reports the men were helping American clients break various hunting laws.
