Flying Dust Man Run Over By Logging Truck

The Meadow Lake RCMP are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 36-year-old man from the Flying Dust First Nation earlier this week.

RCMP spokeswoman Heather Russell says at around midnight Monday evening, the man was walking on the main road into the reserve with two other men, when he was hit by a logging truck.

Russell says the man was transported to hospital but succumbed to his injuries yesterday morning.

The other two pedestrians were not injured in the accident.

The investigation is continuing.

The name of the man has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
