A high-ranking official with the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations says she’s pleased by a recent court decision.
The court of appeal has set January 9th as the day Jeffrey Kindrat and Jeffrey Brown will be retried for the sexual assault of a 12 year-old Cree girl.
The alleged incident happened back in 2001 and resulted in the conviction of another man, Dean Edmondson.
FSIN Women’s commission chair Marie-Anne Daywalker-Pelletier says it’s another chance for justice to be served.
