A remote northern community is another step closer to getting a hockey arena.
It was announced earlier today that Pinehouse has received $248,000 for the project from the Canada-Saskatchewan Municipal Rural Infrastructure Fund.
Meanwhile, Cameco has announced it is contributing more than $145,000 in funding and in-kind donations.
The entire project is expected to cost $1.5 million.
Construction is scheduled to get underway in April.
Pinehouse is one of the largest northern communities without an arena.
