Harrison Opens Constituency Office in La Ronge

For the first time in four years, La Ronge has its own constituency office for the local Member of Parliament.

Desnethe-Missinippi-Churchill River MP Jeremy Harrison says his La Ronge office is now officially open for business.

Former MP Rick Laliberte used to share an office in La Ronge with former Cumberland MLA Keith Goulet when Laliberte was still with the NDP.

That arrangement ended when Laliberte jumped to the Liberals just prior to the 2000 federal election.

Harrison says opening a La Ronge office was one of his campaign promises, but he says he needed to find some loopholes before he was allowed to do it.

Harrison already has an office in Meadow Lake.

He says the La Ronge office will be open Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, unless there is enough demand for more hours.
