Entrepreneurs and business leaders in northwest Saskatchewan will likely want to circle January 20th on their calendar.

That’s the day the Northern Development Board Corporation is hosting a workshop in Buffalo Narrows to explore the economic opportunities that are opening up because of the coming road link to Fort McMurray.

Spokesman Dean Desjarlais says the road link to the oil patch could have a huge effect on the economic landscape of the northwest.

The conference is expected to be attended by representatives of Suncor, Syncrude and the Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce.

Space is limited, so interested people are asked to phone the development board early.
