Keeper Accompanies Beatty On Campaign Trail

Liberal MP Tina Keeper is in Meadow Lake today to drum up support for party candidate Joan Beatty for the upcoming by-election in Desnethe-Missinippi-Churchill River.

Beatty and the former “North of 60” star are heading to a part of the riding that, in recent years, has been a Conservative stronghold.

Keeper says that wasn’t by design — she’s just happy to visit the constituency and help Beatty’s campaign.

Keeper also says she was proud of party leader Stephane Dion when he appointed Beatty, and calls it a “bold step”.
