La Ronge Natural Gas Sign-Up Drive Into Next Stage

SaskEnergy is stepping up its campaign to sell La Ronge and Weyakwin residents on the benefits of natural gas.

Information packages will be delivered to homes and businesses this week in a bid to convince at least 500 potential customers to sign up by the January 31st deadline.

SaskEnergy spokesman Dean Reeve says the package will contain information specific to the La Ronge situation.

SaskEnergy officials have repeatedly said they won’t build the natural gas pipeline to La Ronge, as planned, unless they get the necessary number of commitments.
