Man Killed In Rollover Near Sturgeon Lake

A single vehicle rollover near the Sturgeon Lake First Nation has claimed the life of a 35-year-old man.

Authorities say the crash occurred shortly after midnight on Highway 355.

The victim was one of two passengers ejected from the vehicle after it left the highway and rolled.

The RCMP say a 33-year-old woman from the Sturgeon Lake reserve is facing charges after “providing samples of breath suitable for alcohol analysis”.

RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Carole Raymond says injuries to the others involved in the accident are considered minor.

No names have been released.
