Merasty Votes Against Same Sex Debate

Northern Saskatchewan’s Member of Parliament voted against re-opening the debate over same-sex marriage yesterday.
Gary Merasty says he doesn’t agree with the federal government’s decision to revisit the issue.
Merasty says the Tories are doing nothing more than “cherry-picking” the rights of others.
Merasty adds he finds Stephen Harper’s track record on moves such as these worrisome. He notes the Prime Minister has openly mused about eliminating fishing rights for First Nations in B.C. because he believes they’re racially based.
