METSI Replacement To Be Revealed Soon

Officials with Service Canada say they are very close to naming an interim group to replace Metis Employment and Training of Saskatchewan, or METSI.

Spokeswoman Adelle Crocker says a replacement could be announced as early as this week.

Earlier this year, the federal department announced it would not be renewing METSI’s contract over concerns with its ties to the embattled Metis Nation of Saskatchewan.

Crocker says the department is also attempting to track down a long-term replacement for METSI.
