A proposed meeting between two sides of the Metis National Council has been postponed until January 3rd.

Yesterday in Ottawa, members of the MNC’s Board of Governors were scheduled to talk about who should be the delegates at the next assembly.

The issue has brought the group to a standstill and was due to be sorted out in court should a deal fail to materialize.

However, a judge who was scheduled to hear the matter, should a deal not be reached, has been tied up with a murder trial this week.
