MNS Executive Threatens to Expel Doucette

One of Metis Nation – Saskatchewan President Dwayne Roth’s chief rivals says he has been issued an ultimatum by members of the MNS executive.

Robert Doucette says a letter he received recently implies that he can’t be a part of the newly-created Metis Provisional Council and still be considered a member of the MNS.

Doucette says that’s a violation of his rights under the Metis organization’s own constitution.

The letter asks for a reply within the next 30 days, but Doucette says he’s not going to bother.

MNS officials have been not been immediately available for comment.
