The RCMP have identified the victim in a fatal collision between a snowmobile and a pickup truck near Dillon last week.

32-year-old Celestine Morrison of Dillon was the driver and lone occupant of the snow machine, which appears to have slammed into the side of the truck at an angle.

The victim was not wearing a helmet and died at the scene.

The accident happened late Thursday night on a seasonal ice road on Peter Pond Lake near an area known as Buckley’s Point.

The three occupants of the truck were not hurt.

The Mounties have not released any details as to what may have caused the crash.

Morrison is the fourth person to have died in a snowmobile accident in northern Saskatchewan this winter.
