Up to 5000 people are expected to make their way to the English River First Nation this week.
The reserve is the host-site for the 2006 National Denesuline Gathering.
Event coordinator Cheryl Maurice says a number of issues will be up for discussion during the four-day meeting, as well as a large number of events.
She says this year’s gathering is different than last year’s due to its focus on youth.
Maurice says many campers have already descended on the site and the reserve is abuzz with excitement.
The national gathering wraps up on Sunday.
