No Updates Regarding Body Discovered In La Ronge

New information has yet to be announced by the La Ronge RCMP as they continue to investigate the discovery of a body in downtown La Ronge Thursday afternoon.

RCMP spokesman Sgt. Brian Jones says the body of a local man, believed to be in his 40’s, was discovered shortly before 3pm Thursday afternoon.

Jones says there is no evidence to indicate foul play at this time and it seems he may have died as a result of natural causes. Jones says the necessary precautions are being taken and an autopsy is being conducted in Prince Albert.

According to eyewitness reports, the body was found across from the old hospital site in a cluster of trees between Lac La Ronge and La Ronge Avenue.
