Norman Elected New Chief Of Flying Dust

The Flying Dust First Nation has a new chief.

On Friday, the band voted in former councillor Jim Norman to replace incumbent leader Percy Derocher.

Members also elected three new band councillors — Jeremy Norman, Howard Gladue and Daryl Merasty.

Marie Gladue was the only incumbent to hang onto her seat on council.

All of the winners will serve two-year terms in office.
