NorSask Back At Full Capacity, But For How Long?

Employees recently laid off at Norsask Wood Products in Meadow Lake are back at work.
The mill is running two shifts these days, despite recent news that the pulp and paper mill in Prince Albert is closing down.
NorSask president Allan Brander says that will have an impact if and when that happens.
Brander says if his mill is unable to ship woodchips to Weyerhaeuser, it will significantly impact his company’s bottom line.
He says his company is already coping with a 50 per cent reduction in revenue due to softwood lumber tariffs and the exchange rate.
