Northern Civic Elections Continue

Another round of municipal elections is taking place in northern Saskatchewan today.

Pinehouse, Black Point, Brabant Lake, Garson Lake and Southend are among the communities holding civic votes today.

In the case of Pinehouse, incumbent mayor Mike Natomagan has already been acclaimed, but there is still a race for the available spots on village council.

Northern municipalities get a choice of four dates to hold their civic elections as a way to accomodate seasonal workers.

The vast majority of northern municipalities have chosen either October 4th or October 25th as their election day.
