A 45-year-old Buffalo Narrows woman has been sentenced to 21 months in jail for drug trafficking charges.

Debbie Carol Lalonde was sentenced earlier this week in Meadow Lake Provincial Court.

Lalonde had been arrested on February 15th in Buffalo Narrows as a result of an RCMP investigation into trafficking in crack cocaine.

At the time of her arrest, Lalonde was found to be in possession of approximately an ounce-and-a-half of crack cocaine.

In addition to her jail sentence, Lalonde received 44 days time served for time she spent on remand for several breaches of her bail conditions.

Lalonde was also ordered to forfeit her vehicle as offence-related property, in addition to receiving a 10-year firearm prohibition and a DNA order.
