Northerners Presented With Centennial Medals

Lieutenant-Governor Lynda Haverstock was in Meadow Lake today to honor several northerners for their contributions to the developement of communities in the province.

 

Haverstock awarded 49 individuals with the Saskatchewan Centennial Medal at a ceremony similar to the one that took place yesterday in La Ronge.

 

Today’s ceremony saw eight northern chiefs receive the medal, as well as a number of elders and other citizens.

 

Haverstock presented the provincial honour to approximately 30 individuals early yesterday in La Ronge.

 

The recipients included chiefs, former chiefs, elders and other northerners that have made notable contributions to their communities.
