The La Ronge-based Keewatin Career Development Corporation is offering a new information technology computer training program to remote First Nations’ communities.
In partnership with Cisco Systems Networking and First Nations groups across Canada, KCDC has launched an innovative and unique initiative designed to bring IT educational opportunities to the North.
KCDC general manager Randy Johns says this is a great opportunity for people in the North, since they will no longer have to travel to gain access to this kind of training.
Johns also says this program will open up job opportunities in many different areas in the North.
Johns says the skills and education gained from this program can be used worldwide for computer and information technology work.
