One Dead, Several Hurt After Head-On Crash

A 23-year-old woman from the Key First Nation was killed in a head-on collision early Saturday evening.
The RCMP say the crash took place on Highway 10, about five kilometres east of Balcarres.
The victim was a passenger in one of the vehicles, which was being driven by another woman.
Three children aged 11, 13 and 14 were also in the vehicle.
All of the occupants required treatment in hospital, and two of them were eventually taken to the Regina General Hospital.
The 22-year-old man from the Peepeekisis First Nation was behind the wheel of the second vehicle.
He was initially listed in critical condition, but the extent of his injuries isn’t known.
He was also eventually transported to Regina General.
