A transmission line project slated to run between Timber Cove and La Ronge has been delayed.

Larry Christie of SaskPower says the high cost of steel is behind the setback.

He says crews have done initial work on the project, but construction might not happen until next year.

Christie says the spike in steel prices could put them $1 million over budget.
