Public To Pay For Alleged Killer’s Private Lawyer

The man accused of killing an Onion Lake First Nations woman now has a publicly-funded private lawyer.
Douglas Hales will no longer be represented by legal aid, as yesterday a judge ruled Hales will now have a court-appointed lawyer.
That is something Hales has been calling for.
Hales was arrested in August 2008 for the first degree murder of Daleen Bosse.
He is also charged with committing an indignity to human remains by setting Bosse’s body on fire.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for next March.
