Searchers Brought In To Help Find Wahpeton Man

A full-scale search is underway for a missing Wahpeton Dakota band member.

20-year-old Damian Prosper was last seen on March 2nd.

Band councillor Beverly Waditika says he was wearing blue jeans, boots, and a grey pullover when he disappeared.

She says Prosper has brown eyes, black hair and a distinctive left front tooth that’s chipped.

Neither she nor his family are sure where he has gone, but it’s believed he was headed for Prince Albert.

Searchers from the RCMP, Prince Albert Rescue, and teams from Regina, Montreal Lake and Hall Lake have come out to help.

Anyone with information regarding Prosper’s whereabouts is asked to contact the band or the RCMP.

A call is also going out for more volunteers and donations of food.
