The Saskatoon Indian and Metis Friendship Centre is hosting a community networking luncheon today.

Social services agencies from across the city will meet and update one another on various problems and issues they are tackling.

Julie Durocher is a Family Violence Caregiver at the centre. She says the sessions are important as they give all of the agencies a better sense of what everyone’s been up to.

Today’s luncheon also features a talk by an Aboriginal liaison officer about First Nations initiatives taking place in federal prisons.
