SNTC Launches $5.3 Million Fundraising Drive

The Saskatchewan Native Theatre Company has embarked on a new campaign.

At a press conference this morning, SNTC announced plans to renovate its theatre, build a bannock bistro and construct a new arts centre, residence and career centre.

SNTC general manager Donna Heimbecker says the organization is hoping to raise $5.3 million for the project by next April.

Heimbecker admits it’s an ambitious plan, but notes it will be carried out in phases.

She adds the government has already committed some support, and there is growing interest in the corporate community, as well.
