About 50 members of the Sweetgrass First Nation staged a demonstration in North Battleford yesterday.
The protesters called on Battlefords Tribal Council CEO Randy Wallace to open up about what’s going on at the local Indian and Child Family Services centre.
Protest spokesperson Darlene Pooyak says many people are unhappy with Wallace’s recent decision to replace the centre’s board of directors with his own appointees.
She also says not being able to see the economic situation of the centre has also become very frustrating.
Wallace has not been available for comment.
