The murder trial for a 17-year-old male from Fond du Lac that was to take place yesterday in Stony Rapids was postponed due to a defence team request.
Crown prosecutor Wayne Buckle says the trial was adjourned because the defence had a few “disclosure issues” surrounding the trial.
Buckle says there were also a few problems or concerns with security at the Stony Rapids facility.
The accused youth, who cannot be identified because of his age, is facing a second-degree murder charge stemming from the death of a 15-year-old male from Fond du Lac back in July.
Buckle says the proceedings have been adjourned to February 13th and 14th in La Ronge.
