Trial Ordered for Former FNUC Official

The former vice-president of the First Nations University of Canada is going to trial.
Yesterday, during a preliminary hearing, a judge decided there is enough evidence to warrant a trial for Wes Stevenson, who is charged with defrauding the university of more than $5,000.
Stevenson was fired in 2005, at the same time that several other senior officials were fired or left the institution due to what they called political interference.
Stevenson’s trial will commence in the new year, in Regina’s Court of Queen’s Bench.
